In the current political environment many communities, an especially Black women may find healing and reinforcement in art. The arts have always played a central role in resistance, healing, and self-expression, and this talk will reflect on the power of art as a tool for Black Women’s healing and resilience. This will not be a political commentary, but instead a tribute to the critical role Black women have played in the arts, both historically and in contemporary spaces.
